I finished up Chiquitin's quilt top this morning. It took me 4 days from cutting to being finished, with no other projects being worked on. I don't get a whole lot of time to sew- mostly when the kiddos are sleeping/napping..
I used a disappearing nine patch block, there is a great tute here. Finished quilt top is 39"x37"
Inspired by Skovy's (on flickr) nine patch using the Bot Camp line. She's got a blog here.
It is so exciting to have a larger quilt top done! I definitely know that I wont be making more quilts much bigger than this. There is a lot of time involved, and I am one who likes quick results and satisfaction. I think that's what got me to finished this top in the last few days, just wanting it to be done so I could see the end result!
I am contemplating adding a scrappy border to the quilt to make it a wee bigger, and adding a little scrappy strip to the backing fabric as well... Any suggestions?
Mommy Holly is having a very sweet handmade card/tag giveaway over on Life on Brixton Lane, check it out!
