Making Christmas Cookies

When I was little, making cookies was one of the traditons we did every Christmas.
Something I plan on doing every year. And letting my wee ones go crazy with the sprinkles and frosting, and even those little cinnamon dots. And letting Kiki use the cookie cutters, even though most of our gingerbread men ended up with no feet. Or heads.
Taking one of the few traditions I had growing up, and instead of a downright miserable time decorating cookies, (becasue of my mother's bad attitude about Christmas, and over controlling behavior...) this will be a fun experience for my kids that they can remember.

I have to admit that it was hard for me to just shut up and let go about he cookies and the amount of frosting and candy on them, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and more is more when you are little!
XOXO
You are a good Mama!

we did this yesterday! It's one thing I always remember about my grandma's house. So we are starting this tradition with Colby and my mom now. It's so much fun when you just let them go crazy! After all, mops, brooms, bath tubs and washing machines were made for a reason! LOL
