A Tisket, A tasket

A patchwork Easter basket!
I made up two fabric baskets following the wonderful tutorial over on Pink Penguin.
They turned out to be the perfect size for two trains, and an egg full of M&M's.
I could kick myself for not trying this tutorial sooner, it is very simple and they turn out so cute!
(the other side)
I used twill for my lining and base, it made the baskets a bit more sturdy. I used polka dots and stripes, and some eye spy fabrics for the patches. This has also inspired me to make a quilt like this.. I think all the colors, mixed with fun eye spy's would be great for a baby quilt.
Despite my fabric buying diet (and the ever so fast approaching move!) I got some fabrics from Fresh Squeezed. At 20% off, I am a bit weak! The top is Michael Miller's TaDot in teal, and the other two are Amy Butler's Full Moon dot in Tangerine and Cherry. I plan on making some baby snugglers this week.

The baskets are so cute! I'm going to try too, although I'm not very good with the sewing machine... :)
I am so sad I did'n get anything from your giveaways. Do you ship to Brazil? I'm planning on getting pregnant this year, so I could buy some cute stuff from you.

Those turned out great. I also made a basket from her tutorial a few weeks ago. I loved how it turned out.
