New books..

I have actually had the last Twilight books for a while. I finished Breaking Dawn about a week ago. It makes me sad to be over with the series, even though I purposely read the books very slowly, knowing I would not want to be finished. The Unoffial Guide to the series sucks. Thats just my opinion though, the wirter simply talks about what happens in the books, without adding anything to it. I have already preordered the Official guide to the series, now it just needs to be published! I got a few of DIY wedding books a few days ago. There a lots of ideas about decorating for the reception that I plan to do. I love this idea instead of a guest book, and I have seen several variations in different books.
I got this book- Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts Woolly Embroidery a few days ago. (ISBN 978-0-8118-6086-4)I have already flipped through it a bit, and it looks like a fun books. I think I could use it to make some cute pillow or something.
A few of these books I got from trading on Swaptree, if you havent already signed up, you should check it out!

I love that idea for your wedding...instead of a guest book! My friends did something similar at their baby shower...they had everyone write a parenting tip and then they put them all in a scrap book. They had all kinds of tips, from silly to serious things. And Swaptree is a great site! I used it for quite awhile, until I didn't have any time to read!

I am still going to send you those selvages. WE moved recently and we are still not into our house \due to a lot of repairs needing to be done and that bag of selvages is packed away! SOrry, I will work on that!

I loved Twilight too. I'm predicting a new series with Renesme and Jacob. Have you read any of Charlene Harris's books? They are quite different from Twilight, but I liked them too.

Very cute idea for the guest book! My question would only be--what do you do with those little cards? I think leaving the tree out for a little while is cool, but eventually something would have to be done...maybe a scrapbook? Or you could do a collage in a frame? I pray that everything comes together easily and quickly for your upcoming wedding!

Love the idea for for the wedding guest book alternative! So cute!
Russ's cousin did an alternative idea also. They had a picture frame mat. Everyone signed and put a little message on the mat and then they framed a wedding picture of them in it. I am a little sad I didn't think of a cute idea like yours...I could actually look at what people said versus digging a guest book out of a tote in the basement!
